How one of the world's most advanced display companies got a content engine that could speak to a CTO, a consumer, a schoolkid, and an activist, without sounding like four different brands.

The Brief
Samsung Display is the division of Samsung responsible for some of the most advanced display technology in the world, the OLED panels, foldable screens, and flexible cover materials that sit inside devices used by billions of people. The science behind their work is genuinely extraordinary. The challenge was that most of it lives in places no one outside the industry ever reads, white papers, technical specifications, conference decks. Samsung Display came to us to build a content programme that could carry the story across multiple audiences: technical buyers, industry decision-makers, consumers, and the general public, including the ESG-conscious reader who cares about sustainability.

Display science, told four different ways for four different audiences

Samsung Display
The Challenge
The brief had a built-in contradiction. The content had to satisfy a display engineer reading about Colorless Polyimide and the chemical restructuring of aromatic rings, and also reach a casual reader who just wanted to know why their phone screen folds without breaking. One audience needs depth. The other audience needs not to feel like they're being lectured. Most brands solve this by writing two completely different content streams that share nothing but a logo. We didn't have that option. Samsung Display needed a programme where the technical pieces, the social posts, the ESG storytelling, and the video work all felt like they came from the same brand, but spoke fluently to four very different people.

THE APPROACH
We built the content around the audience, not the format. Each format did a specific job in a specific register. The Learn Display and Replay The Display long-form articles carried the deep technical credibility, extensive research, real engineering detail, written for readers who actually wanted to understand how a display worked, not just be told it was good. The LinkedIn and social posts translated those same stories into bite-sized hooks that earned a click without dumbing the science down.
The ESG comic book series, Something You Don't Know About Water And Land, used an original character and a storytelling style designed to make sustainability feel human, taking on topics like ocean plastic and the technology Samsung Display was developing to reduce its impact. The animated video adaptations brought those comics into motion for social and YouTube. And the event video planning support layered into Samsung Display's broader communication moments. Four formats, four registers, one brand running through all of it.

THE OUTCOME
A content engine that gave one of the world's most advanced display companies a way to talk to every audience it needed to reach, without compromising on the science for the casual reader, or losing the casual reader to the science. Technical credibility for the people who wanted depth. Storytelling warmth for the people who didn't know they were going to learn something.
And a sustainability narrative that did the rare job of making ESG content actually worth reading.
For us, it was a reminder that complex science doesn't need to be simplified. It needs to be retold. The hard part isn't getting smarter. It's getting clearer.
